Curt Raymond Bush
General Manager (2002 - Present)
Curt joined Mrs. Bush’s Personal Care Full Time in 2002. Leaving a career with one of the largest defense contractors in New England was a difficult choice. Yet the need to continue the tradition of the excellence of Mrs. Bush’s PCH felt more important as Mom & Dad would transition toward time away & retirement at the end of the next decade. Today, along with his wife Kelly, he manages the kitchen, the business affairs, his two sons, and is dedicated to constantly improving all aspects of life here at the Mrs. Bush’s facilities in Kunkletown. Over the years, Missy has worked in many different settings: skilled facilities, other personal care homes, and as a home health nurse. In 2016, she found her way back home to Mrs. Bush’s and has been here since. Missy has a 14-year-old daughter named Emmalee and spends her free time supporting her in dirt bike racing. She also enjoys reading and crafting!

Janine Belvis
Assistant Director of Nursing
Janine has been an LPN since 2010. She has worked at Mrs. Bush’s since 2018 as the Assistant Director of Nursing & Hiring Manager. Janine’s nursing career has focused on geriatrics, with experience in Personal Care and Skilled facilities. She previously earned an associate degree in applied science for paralegal studies. Janine transitioned from being a paralegal to becoming a nurse to work more closely with people. She is a Veteran of the Army National Guard and was deployed for Hurricane Katrina and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Janine served in the National Guard for 11 years with an MOS of 88N, Traffic Management Coordinator. Her favorite part about working at Mrs. Bush’s PCHs is the compassion her coworkers show for the residents and the sense of family. When you visit Mrs. Bush’s and hear some awful singing, it’s most likely Janine. When she’s not at work, you can find her with her family (her husband, stepdaughter, and daughter). They enjoy camping, playing board games, and video games. Family is the most important thing in her life, and she is very close to her mother and two siblings.

Carrie Shafer

Carrie's dedication to working with seniors stems from her close relationship with her grandparents, whom she assisted in their family business. After graduating from Pocono Mountain High School, Carrie pursued Psychology at Lebanon Valley College. Joining Mrs. Bush's in 2006, she has held various roles within the home, leading to her current position as Community Life Director since 2008. Carrie is Activity Director Certified and values ongoing education in senior care. Beyond her career, Carrie enjoys spending time with her husband, two sons, and English Bulldog, Rosie. You might spot them at a Palmerton football game or a local demolition derby, enthusiastically supporting her boys.

Grady
Resident Mascot
Grady was adopted by Curt & Kelly Bush from Camp Papillon Shelter on January 31, 2016. He is our resident pet therapy dog and has been a friendly companion to many who live here and visit our Home.
